My buddy Mike Sizemore has always wanted to work with John Carpenter, and finally got the opportunity a few years back when the two of them collaborated on a script development. John and his wife Sandy King Carpenter run a great comic label called Storm King Comics – a treasure trove of horror books with the great name of John Carpenter attached. Mike suggested we pitch one of his short story ideas for their annual “Tales For a HalloweeNight” horror anthology and the result was “The Posse” – a western tale with a nasty twist, and my chance to up my game drawing-wise. It was the first project where I got to work with Mike, John, Sandy and the Storm King team, so it holds a special place in my heart.
